Make Ida Court a 'Sensory Playground,' Borelli Urges

STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. -- The scheduled opening of a South Shore community playground may be delayed before construction even begins -- but it's for a good reason. 

Councilman Joseph Borelli (R-South-Shore), with support from Mark Levine, chairman of the Committee on Parks, is asking the city Department of Parks and Recreation to turn the planned Ida Court Playground into a sensory version to accommodate developmentally disabled children.
