Access Manhattan: Services For Better Communities Utility Rights Legal Clinic

Manhattan Borough President Gale A. Brewer will partner with

Public Utility Law Project of New York, Inc, to help constituents who are faced with utility issues including when faced with loss of essential light or heat, excessive arrears, final termination notices, or are bullied by energy service customers (ESCOs) into high-cost rate schemes they can’t afford.

We want to educate our constituents on ways to utilize procedural protections to obtain and maintain utility service. In addition, we wish to shed light on telecommunication issues and trends that have come up recently, such as, Verizon services.

The clinic will explain the processes, updates and options for families. An opportunity will also be provided for questions and answers.
