Open Studio with David Shrobe

“I draw from personal and cultural histories as well as childhood memorabilia to explore how we carry remnants of our past into the present and even into our imagined futures.”  - David Shrobe

Artist-in-Residence David Shrobe opens up The Studio for conversations about his ideas and process. A fourth generation member of the Harlem community, David has an M.F.A. from Hunter College and is a current Joan Mitchell Foundation Teaching Fellow.  Pictured is a detail from his collage-painting, Eternal Navigation.
